Joel Häkämies elected to the Board of SPOT ry

Korner's partner Joel Häkämies has been elected to the Board of the Sponsorship and Events Association. The election is a testament to Joel's and Korner's solid expertise, especially at the interface of sports, events and communications.

At the SPOT Association's annual meeting yesterday, three new board members were elected for the next three-year term - one of them is Korner partner Joel Häkämies. The other board members are Anna Hanström (OP) and Daniel Sharsan (Pori Jazz).

Joel, a founding partner of Korner since 2016, lives and breathes sport. In his work, he has worked closely with the Kindred Group and Helsingin Jokerei, among others, so the hockey world has become very familiar to him. But it's in the Korner office that you'll hear Joel talking most about the latest developments in Superpesis.

In addition to his understanding of sports entertainment, he also has a strong background in marketing communications and especially in working with the media, which he hopes to use in building SPOT ry's thought leadership.

"Pretty quickly, we joined SPOT in the spring with Korner and immediately joined the board. Hockey is a momentum game, said Tamminen. This will not only motivate me but will certainly help our clients. We have customers both as sponsors, rights holders and on the event side. Pretty much from all angles, we will certainly contribute to the association's cause," Joel said.
